• Membrane distillation (MD) is a thermally driven separation process in which separation is driven by phase change.
• A hydrophobic membrane presents a barrier for the liquid phase, allowing the vapour phase (e.g. water vapour) to

pass through the membrane's pores.

• To convert saline water to potable water.
• To use RO as feed for Membrane Distillation (MD) to achieve zero liquid discharge

• The concept is a portable water filter bottle. The filter is inside the bottle and UV is also placed inside.
• The power supply is taken from the mobile phone
• The filters are sediment, UF, Carbon only, and finally the water TDS also displayed the bottle.
• The main impact is drivers of India for travelling many miles and they do not have proper drinking water.
• For that purpose only we designed the water filter bottle.

We are one of the finalists in the NGWA competition in the NITI Ayog Competition.
