Public profile content
If a profile is public, LeetCV may expose crawlable metadata, structured data, and sitemap entries so search engines and AI answer engines can discover it.
LeetCV is designed around explicit visibility controls: public profile content can be crawled, while application notes, recruiter messages, and private resume work stay behind authenticated app routes.
If a profile is public, LeetCV may expose crawlable metadata, structured data, and sitemap entries so search engines and AI answer engines can discover it.
Resume drafts, recruiter threads, applications, interview notes, preferences, and agent activity are treated as private product data unless the user chooses to publish a specific profile surface.
Important outbound actions should remain auditable and user-approved. The product should record what was drafted, submitted, or changed so candidates can verify their job-search history.
Connecting Gmail is optional. When you connect it, LeetCV requests read-only access (gmail.readonly) and your email address. LeetCV cannot delete or change your email. If you choose to send a reply from LeetCV, Google first asks you to also allow sending (gmail.send); LeetCV then sends only the replies you review and press Send on, from your own mailbox, and never sends anything on its own.
About every 15 minutes LeetCV checks messages that arrived in your inbox since the last check and keeps only those about jobs you applied to through LeetCV: mail from or naming a company you applied to, or replies in a conversation LeetCV already tracks. Everything else is skipped and never stored or sent to an AI model. Matching messages are classified by an AI model (OpenAI), for example as an interview invitation, offer, or rejection, saved to your private LeetCV workspace, and used to update the application and draft replies that you review and send yourself.
We do not sell Gmail data, use it for advertising, or use it to train generalized AI models, and no person at LeetCV reads it unless you ask us to for support, it is needed for security, or the law requires it. Our AI provider processes message content only to provide this service to LeetCV and does not use it to train its models.
Disconnect Gmail in Settings at any time to revoke LeetCV's access at Google and delete the stored access tokens. “Delete mail data” in Settings removes the threads, applications, interviews, and digests created from your email. You can also revoke access from your Google Account permissions page.
LeetCV's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
The LeetCV Autofill extension is optional. It only acts on a page when you click it (or press its shortcut) on that page. It then reads the application form there (field labels, options and which fields are required) and the job title, company and description, and sends them to LeetCV over an encrypted connection to work out what goes in each field. It does not read pages you don't ask it to fill, and it does not track your browsing.
To fill a form, LeetCV uses your LeetCV profile and resume, and the “Autofill answers” you save in Settings. Free-text questions and dropdowns are answered by an AI model (OpenAI) from that data; it is not used to train models. When you ask it to, the extension tailors your resume to the job (saved as a resume variant in your account), downloads the PDF to your computer, and attaches it to the form's upload field. It submits an application only when you click Submit in the extension, and then saves the job and the answers to your LeetCV applications.
The extension stores a connection token in your browser; LeetCV stores only a hash of it. Disconnect in Settings at any time to revoke it. We do not sell this data or use it for advertising.
