Enhanced UV‑Irradiated Photo catalytic Degradation of Malachite Green by Porous WO3 Decorated on 2D Graphene Sheet

High efficient and environment friendly one-pot in situ microwave irradiation method was implemented towards the preparation of porous reduced graphene oxide/WO3 (rGOW) nanocomposites for the first time.

Crystal engineering and physicochemical properties of L-cysteine cadmium chloride (LCC) for frequency doubling and optical limiting applications

Adapting the solution growth method, L-cysteine cadmium chloride (LCC) crystal was synthesized, and by using a single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis, orthorhombic system was confirmed. From the powder XRD pattern, the crystalline nature of LCC crystal was revealed.

Statistical analysis of natural radioactivity data of clay samples in Tiruvannamalai, Tamilnadu, India

The activity concentration of 226Ra, 232Th and 40K were determined in clay samples collected from Tiruvannamalai district, Tamilnadu using gamma ray spectrometry.

Estimation of excess lifetime cancer risk in brick samples of Tiruvannamalai district using gamma ray spectrometry

If we want to assess the impact of radiation exposure, it is common practice to present the values of excess lifetime cancer risk in a population exposed to a given dose. The present investigation is involved in calculating such excess lifetime risks and related risk projection methods.

Assessment of excess lifetime cancer risk of sand samples used as building materials in Tiruvannamalai district, Tamil Nadu, India by gamma ray spectrometry

The radionuclide activity data of riverbed sand samples collected from 15 different locations along the banks of Thenpennai River flows within Tiruvannamalai district of Tamilnadu, India were implemented to evaluate the radio- logical safety of the geographical area.

Assessment of natural radioactivity and radiological hazards in building materials used in the Tiruvannamalai District, Tamilnadu, India, using a statistical approach

One-hundred-fifty-one samples of six types of building materials were collected from different locations of the Tiruvannamalai District, Tamilnadu, and were analyzed using a gamma ray spectroscopy system.

Assessment of natural radioactivity and radiological hazards in brick samples used in Tiruvannamalali, Tamilnadu, India, with a statistical approach

The activity concentration of Ra, Th and K in brick samples used in Tiruvannamalai District of Tamilnadu has been determined using gamma ray spectrometry. The activity concentration ranges from BDL to 16.02 Bq kg, 17.86 to 120.19 Bq kg, 240.09 to 481.35 Bq kg for Ra, Th, and K, respectively.

Determination of natural radioactivity and the associated radiation hazards in building materials used in Polur, Tiruvannamalai, Tamilnadu, India using gamma ray spectrometry with statistical approach

Average activity for all the building materials less than world average value

Radioactivity in building materials due to concentration of 226Ra and 232Th

Log normal distribution patterns of radioactive variables are discussed.

Statistical tools applied to radioactive variables

Assessment of natural radioactivity in clay samples of Tiruvannamalai, Tamilnadu, India and their associated radiation hazards

Due to increased global demand for clay, the present work involves the use of gamma ray spectrometry for the measurement of concentrations of natural radionuclides in clay samples.

Multivariate statistical analysis of radiological data of building materials used in Tiruvannamalai, Tamilnadu, India

Using γ spectrometry, the concentration of the naturally occurring radionuclides 226Ra, 232Th and 40K has been measured in soil, sand, cement, clay and bricks, which are used as building materials in Tiruvannamalai, Tamilnadu, India.
